I designed an identity for The Chequers, a gastropub based in the heart of Cotswolds.
The pub name ‘chequers’ originated in ancient Rome when a chequer board indicated that a bar also provided banking services. I featured the chequerboard image in different ways as part of the main logo, the ‘C’ icon and on the beer mats.
