An identity designed for a rustic Cotswold pub with hundreds of years of history stored in its thick stone walls. The Country Creatures pub group beautifully and sympathetically renovated the Wild Duck in 2026, breathing life into a much loved historical building. The Wild Duck is full of quirky little corners and is immersed in the beauty of the surrounding Cotswold wetlands.
Working with Irving & Co. to realise this identity, we wanted it to reflect these characteristics and develop a truly unique and fun design. We commissioned Jeffrey Fisher to create illustrations and hand drawn logos inspired by the wonky nature of the pub, its history and the surrounding flora and fauna (not forgetting the duck of course!).
The Wild Duck were keen to work with local letterpress studio Rooksmoor Press based in Stroud. Together we designed and printed beautifully letterpressed menus as well as lots of other beautiful material.
